How to Select a Turnlock Receptacle | Quarter-Turn Fastener Guide

Selecting a Turnlock quarter-turn fastener starts with choosing the correct receptacle. The best option depends on your panel design, mounting method, access to the rear side, required duty level and installation preference.

Start with the mounting method

The most common Turnlock receptacles are fixed with rivets. This usually requires access to the rear side of the panel so the receptacle can be installed correctly. Other options include threaded receptacles, square-hole receptacles, round-hole receptacles, side-mounted receptacles and weld-on receptacles.

Riveted or Screw-Mounted Turnlock Receptacles

These receptacles are commonly mounted with rivets or screws and are often used when the back of the panel is accessible during installation.

  1. Rivet or screw mounting with the standard 2.5 mm diameter hole.
  2. Larger hole sizes, available at a higher price level.
  3. Countersunk holes for a flush installation.

Threaded TurnLock Receptacles

Threaded receptacles are installed into a threaded hole and are often used where access to the rear side of the frame is limited.

MTHRTEZZ Closed Type
